Call to Arms
A call to arms from Andy which i found and thought i'd post.
Let me begin. This week has been a time of rest for some of us.
To recover from injury. To mourn the fallen and to celebrate victory. With every night that we face we have triumphed and glassed with victory.
However, we are men. Being victorious is NEVER enough.
We must learn to be faster than any punch or kick. That way we wont get hit.
(Jean-Claude Van Damme Kickboxer 1989).
With the Crescent forever being the meeting pit of the clan.
I summon a meeting.
We have two major important topics that must be discussed in our usual man like ogerish style of debate.
I bring to your attention.
1.)
The imminent rugby game. 40 Minutes League. 40 Minutes Union. There will be arguments for and against of which i care not.
This WILL BE the day of days.
It will ween any NON packers out of our beloved core.
(Gunnery Sergeant Hartman Full Metal Jacket 1987)
Packers WILL retire to the pub in FULL MALE STYLE SWEAT AND DIRT.
Deodorant, antiperspirant, and aftershave WILL be confiscated and the victim will be under Man club law to bowl on request at the next meeting.
Rank is on the line here.
Terry Tate challenges are a FULLY supported.
Any man injured is a man to respect.
Old clothes are required, boots, drink a blood towel and a Gum shield. £2 from anywhere so get one.
Date yet to be confirmed.
I need responses on this for definite numbers and days availability from Monday 25 Feb to Sunday 2nd March. ASAP. I NEED REPLIES.
There's nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer.
Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle - Pearl Harbour 2001)
2.)
The next venture
(An undertaking that is dangerous, daring, or of uncertain outcome. - The Free dictionary.co.uk 2008)
AGAIN I need availability. I need the nights that you will be available on this coming week.
The possibilities are endless.
(Fisherprice.co.uk 2008)
We also need suggestions on locations and pre-venture drinking.
Gum shields are allowed for post 3am.
Replies on the MANCLUB board only please as we can ALL discuss both topics on there. Plus i rarely check my emails on here.
What you ALL need to understand here is that we have FREEDOM. FREEDOM to take on the rugby game and venture.
You've come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you fight?
(William Wallace Braveheart 1995)
The decision is yours. Reply none the less.
